Skills:
Communication:
Through my degree I gained the skill of writing in AP Style and I am comfortable with writing in general. I have experience with interpersonal, oral, and written communication. Public speaking in also something I am familiar with doing.
Detail-oriented:
I pay attention to the little things and try to not overlook them.
Dedicated:
I love the saying, "Take pride in your work." If you don't have pride and dedication to something then why do it?
Innovative:
I was raised in the ranching way of life and with the "if its broken, you try to fix it" mentality before you just go out and buy a newer version. However, I am also one that is willing to try out new technology if it will improve the system of doing things.
Event Planning:
I love to plan events or help plan them. It takes time to make an event happen and it also takes someone who is organized, pays attention to detail, and is passionate about the event.
Photography:
Photography has always been my hobby. I can show you pictures I have taken all day long.
Problem-solving:
In the ranching world and just in life in general you have to learn how to solve issues that come up. This is something that I have the experience to do and if I have exhausted all methods I can come up with I am not afraid to reach out for help.
Public Relations and Promotion:
I have experience with public relations and promoting within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources as an Ag Ambassador as well as various clubs on campus, DeGering Livestock Inc, and my brother's company Dynamite Cutting.
Social Media:
I am very experienced with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest. I know Twitter as well but not to the extent of the others.
Teamwork:
I grew up always on a sports team. I don't shy away from being a team player I enjoy working in groups but I also like to work alone on projects.
Computer Skills:
I can be pretty handy with a computer. I know most of the Microsoft Office Suite. I know Word, Excel, and PowerPoint the best. I do quite a bit of work on Quick-books for DeGering Livestock Inc., Bar Six Ranch, and Coyote Creek Cattle. As far as the Adobe Creative Cloud I know Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Premiere in that order from my best knowledge to my least. During my years at UW I found that Google Drive was very handy to know my way around and I use it quite often. I have also built a couple websites including this one and degeringlivestock.net.
I am willing to step up and learn new things or skills.
